We created 'Santander Universities' in 1996 to support the higher education sector in areas like teaching and research, student mobility, international cooperation, knowledge and technology transfer, entrepreneurial initiatives, and innovation.
The Santander Universities Global Division has signed cooperation agreements with 969 universities in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Mexico, Germany, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Russia, Singapore, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Uruguay.

Our 'Santander Universities' initiative was introduced in the UK in 2007 and we’re already collaborating with 48 British higher education institutions. These agreements are focused on promoting international exchange schemes, entrepreneurial activities, and the mobility of students and researchers.
