We created 'Santander Universities' in 1996 to support the higher education sector in areas such as teaching and research, student mobility, international cooperation, knowledge and technology transfer, entrepreneurial initiatives, and innovation.
The Santander Universities Global Division has signed cooperation agreements with 1,115 universities in Argentina, Brazil, Belgium, Chile, China, Colombia, Germany, Ghana, Mexico, Poland , Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Russia, Singapore, Spain, USA, United Kingdom, UAE and Uruguay.
Our 'Santander Universities' initiative was introduced in the UK in 2007 and we’re already collaborating with 72 British higher education institutions. These agreements are focused on promoting international exchange schemes, entrepreneurial activities, internships in SMEs and the mobility of students and researchers.
