Location

All Analyst roles will be based at our Santander UK Head Office in central London.

What we look for in you

To be considered for the SGBM Graduate Analyst Programme, you’ll need to have a 2:1 degree in maths, economics or a business-related discipline (this is desirable – but not essential).

You’ll need exceptional numerical reasoning skills, and you should have strong written and verbal communication abilities. Fluency in English is essential, while competency in a second language is highly desirable. Work experience in a relevant environment and role would also be very useful.

SGBM UK is split into the following five front office areas, plus our Middle Office team, which offers specialist support:

Global Transaction Banking – responsible for all products related to cash management for both corporations and financial institutions. This includes commercial financing, supply chain finance services, basic lending services and TECF (Trade, Export and Commodity Finance).

Credit Markets – covers all activities related to the full credit cycle, from its origins (e.g. debt capital markets, sales, trading and research) through risk management and structuring to distribution.

Corporate and Investment Banking – provides solutions, financial services and specialist advice to clients (both companies and global financial institutions), in order to meet their financing needs in all of the geographic areas we cover.

Equity – brings together all aspects of our equity business, including our Cash Equities, Derivatives, Futures, Securities Loans and Custody Business desks.

Rates – includes all trading activities in financial markets for interest rates and currencies. FX activities include market making, sales, research and quantitative analysis.

Middle Office – each of these areas is supported by specialist Middle Office teams which provide specialist skills and knowledge.
