Retail Banking Management (Closed)

Overview »

Our Retail Banking Management internship is a fantastic opportunity to gain insight and experience at the heart of our branch network. Banco Santander is the Eurozone’s leading bank and among the top 15 financial institutions worldwide, measured by market capitalisation. This is your chance to be part of a fast-paced, energetic business – one where hard work, commitment and proactivity are always recognised and rewarded.

There are five different areas within our Retail Banking Management function: our branch network (Retail Division), agencies network (Agencies), mortgages business (Mortgages), financial sales team (Bancassurance) and business network (Business Banking Division). The Business Banking Division for example, supports everyone from greengrocers to entrepreneurs and we tailor the products we offer to ensure that businesses both big and small receive the same level of service.

Whichever business area you choose, Retail Banking Management will help you gain significant and valuable experience. You’ll be positioned within an established team, working on detailed business projects and, of course, building an in-depth understanding of how we deliver great service and products to our customers every day.

Planning is at the heart of everything we do. As well as geographical analysis of location and size of the sales patch, you’ll also help compile data on market shares of each individual broker and calculate expected business targets.

You will also have the opportunity to spend time with a Retail Regional Manager, a key contributor in our network operations who is responsible for managing up to 20 branches.

Location »

Our Retail Banking Management internships are based in London, Glasgow, Bristol and Leicester.
