Internship: Operations (Closed)

Overview »

Santander’s Global Operations division is crucial to our day-to-day operations. Exactly what we do is complex, but it involves managing service delivery, IT, operational risk, cost management, change management, structure and productivity for a range of UK-based global businesses – from Global Banking & Markets to Santander Insurance Services UK.

Across 10 weeks, we’ll give you an understanding of the full range of businesses we support. You could enjoy exposure to the SAT team, which is responsible for day-to-day administrative services to the front office. Alternatively, you could gain an insight into the ways the accounting team manages the cost reporting, headcount and related budget process, or work within the project team on the implementation of new product initiatives. Other opportunities may involve working with the private bank or risk teams, as well as activity on the trading floors.

Throughout your internship, we’ll offer you a series of personal development modules, designed to enhance your commercial awareness, as well as your interpersonal skills. All the while, you’ll enjoy regular feedback and real-life work, while building up a detailed knowledge of what we do.

Our Global Operations internships will be based across London and Glasgow.
