But they also appreciate our approach - especially how we take the time to understand their needs, and carefully devise solutions that enable them to achieve their goals.

Our interns spend 12 weeks developing new knowledge and valuable skills, working with many different areas of the business, spending time in the Regional Corporate Banking Network as well as Wholesale Corporate Banking. Throughout your internship, we’ll offer you a series of personal development modules, designed to enhance your commercial awareness as well as your interpersonal skills. All the while, you’ll enjoy regular feedback and real-life project work, while building up a detailed knowledge of what we do.

The primary locations for the Corporate and Commercial Banking programme include Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Milton Keynes and Greater London.

To join the programme you will need:

• To currently be an undergraduate – either in your second year at university, or third year if yours is a four-year course
• A minimum of 280 UCAS points or equivalent and to be on course for a 2:1 or equivalent ideally in Business, Commercial Banking, Finance or a related discipline.

You will also ideally have:

• A minimum of one position of responsibility held at university or school (e.g. Vice-President of a society, Team Captain, Secretary, Treasurer etc.)
• A minimum of two months' customer-related work experience. This could include face-to-face or telephone contact with the public/customers/clients. It can be part-time or voluntary and need not be over a continuous two month period
