Retail Sales and Telephone Management refers to our complex system of telephone based sales and customer support. This area of our business is essential to growth and to providing our customers with the service they want and expect. Challenges here include technology, team management and large volume sales.
If you want to become a leader in our Retail Telephone Sales and Service division, this is the place to start. It takes 24 months to complete our graduate programme. You will spend this time in different front-line sales roles offering products to customers who call up our centres.
Eventually, you’ll take on a more advanced role and be given structured training for advising customers on our products and services and providing them with general guidance. At the end of the 24 months, you’ll have picked up the necessary skills to become a team manager, and you could progress to lead a sales team of approximately 12 advisors.
During the programme you’ll be based at one of three sites – Belfast, Glasgow or Bradford. In all probability you’ll stay at the same site for the entire programme, although you’ll be expected to travel to other sites when required, such as for induction programmes and project work.
We accept applications from candidates with a degree in business, economics, technology (IT), marketing or similar. However your degree subject is less important to us than your ability to communicate with people in a helpful and reassuring manner. We’ll also be particularly interested in people who can collaborate well with others, enjoy working in a customer-focused environment and are motivated by challenging targets.
