This programme, like the business it sits within, has relationship management written all over it. Over two years, we’ll give you the technical knowledge and skills you need to help mould the future of this growing business. Just as importantly though, we’ll show you the softer skills that will help you earn the trust of your customers, and maintain that trust for years to come.
Through a structured development programme involving four six-month placements you will develop the skills necessary to undertake a pivotal role within our Corporate & Commercial Business.
The primary locations for the Corporate & Commercial Banking programme include Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Milton Keynes and Greater London. However, with banking centres and head office sites all across the UK, you could be based in any major city. You will be expected to move between different business teams and locations every six months.
To join, you'll need a keen interest in commercial banking and the sort of natural credibility that inspires confidence in whoever you come across. You must be driven to succeed, focussed on results and be resilient in an ever growing and developing business. You’ll also need or expect to gain a 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in Business, Commercial Banking, Finance or a related discipline.
This programme will give you the opportunity to expand your knowledge and learn new skills by working with many different areas of the business over a two year period. During this time, you’ll undertake a structured development programme involving four six-month placements.
You’ll spend time in our regional Commercial and Corporate Business Centres, as well as gaining a firm understanding of how our customer facing teams are underpinned by taking placements in our Strategy, Marketing, Product Sales and Credit teams. At the end of the scheme you will have developed the skills necessary to play a pivotal role within our Corporate & Commercial Business, with a rounded view of how Santander continues to maintain its position of strength within the UK Banking sector and how you fit into that success.
