FAQ Answers

All our graduate programmes will start in Sept 2013 and summer internships begin in July 2013.

Do you have any summer placement opportunities?

Yes please see our Intern page for more information

Do I need to open a bank account with Santander UK?

You don’t need a Santander UK bank account to apply. However, if you’re successful in your application, you’ll be expected to open an account and have your salary paid into it when you join us.

Will you pay my expenses if I come to an assessment centre?

We’ll reimburse travel expenses incurred for standard travel to assessment centres up to the first £50. You’ll need to keep all original receipts for your expenditure for any claim.

Can I defer my offer?

No, all our vacancies are for a start date in 2013.

Is there an age limit for jobs?

No. Opportunities are open to all graduates who demonstrate the aptitude or ability to undertake the roles.

I graduated six years ago, can I still apply?

Yes. We don’t have any restrictions on how recently you need to have graduated. In fact, we welcome applications from graduates with work experience.

Do you accept General Studies (A level) as a subject?

No, we do not take into account General Studies when calculating your total UCAS points.

Where am I likely to be located?

Our graduate trainees need to be mobile. Graduates working in our branch network business will be located across the country, so you'll need to be flexible enough to be based anywhere in the UK. Other programmes are rotational across multiple locations so mobility is a must. Summer internships are based across the UK but you will be based in the same location for the entire 12 weeks. Further location information can be found on the individual programme details.

If I am successful will you pay relocation expenses?

We wouldn’t normally pay relocation expenses.
